Lviv cheese cake according to Yevhen Klopotenko’s recipe

cheesecakeSTB continues to air premiere episodes of the culinary project Hell’s Bread with Yevhen Klopotenko. In the new episode, the Ukrainian theater and film actress, star of the STB series Natalka Denysenko visited the kitchen. Together, Yevhen and Natalka cooked a Lviv cheesecake!

Ingredients:
  • Cottage cheese with 9% fat content – 650 grams;
  • The raisins are 50 grams;
  • Potatoes – 2 pcs;
  • Eggs – 4 pcs;
  • Sugar – 75 grams;
  • Butter – 15 grams;
  • Transcarpathian lekvar is 200 grams.

Method of cooking:

We take a good Ukrainian cottage cheese with 9% fat content (650 grams), 50 grams of raisins, and two medium potatoes, which we boil. Grate the boiled potatoes on a coarse grater, then mix four eggs and 75 grams of sugar in one container. Take a blender and blend everything well for 5-7 minutes until a homogeneous structure is formed. Grease the mold with butter, put the curd mass in it, and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. We take out the Lviv cheese cake and give it time to rest. Usually, according to an authentic recipe, chocolate is used to drizzle over the cheesecake, but in this recipe I decided to use Transcarpathian lekvar. As for me, it turned out divine!
