Ingredients:
  • wheat flour – 1 cup
  • whole wheat flour – 0.5 cups
  • oatmeal – 2-3 tbsp. l.
  • sugar – 1.5 cups for the dough and 2-3 tbsp. l. for sprinkling
  • baking powder – 1 tbsp. l.
  • cinnamon – 0.5 tsp. l.
  • salt – a few pinches
  • eggs – 2 pcs.
  • milk – 375 ml
  • butter – 125 g (can be replaced with vegetable oil – 0.5 cups)
  • vanilla sugar – 1 tsp. l.
  • buckwheat honey – to taste
  • Powdered sugar – to taste
  • maple syrup – to taste
Cooking a dish:
  1. Mix the dry ingredients – two types of flour, oatmeal, sugar, salt, cinnamon, baking powder, vanilla sugar.
  2. Beat the eggs with milk. Add oil and leave for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Mash the bananas with a fork. Choose very ripe fruit. If you don’t have any, you can use the Chef’s life hack: put bananas in the freezer for a day. After defrosting, they will become overripe.
  4. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
  5. Bake the waffles in a waffle iron until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Done! Optionally, you can sprinkle the waffles with powdered sugar or drizzle with buckwheat honey or maple syrup.
