Top 6 locations in Ivano-Frankivsk from Pedan’s

Alexander and Lera PedanOleksandr and Valeriya Pedan’s project “UniverCheck” (New Channel) will be shown by Ivano-Frankivsk Oil and Gas University. In addition to the university audit, the celebrity father and his student daughter, of course, took a walk around the city. We are ready to share our impressions and advice.

“In 2021, Ivano-Frankivsk was ranked second in the Focus magazine’s ranking of the most comfortable cities in Ukraine,” says Oleksandr Pedan, “They were evaluated by many criteria: water quality, life expectancy, sense of safety on the street… And Frankivsk turned out to be one of the best in all respects! The city also has more than five hundred historical monuments, and the mountains are close by. There is always a place to relax.”

We have collected the top locations worth visiting in Ivano-Frankivsk from Oleksandr and Lera Pedan:

1. Door.

“The old doors are a feature and symbol of Ivano-Frankivsk. They are being restored by local activists. In a few years, we managed to assemble a team of carpenters, blacksmiths and stained glass artists who restored all these doors. “So far, more than 20 have been saved. An interesting fact is that some of the doors had to be brought back from the dumps and installed instead of plastic ones,” notes Sasha Pedan. “They are depicted on all souvenirs – magnets, postcards, T-shirts… Everyone takes a photo with them as a souvenir! It’s also a great idea for a quest around Frankivsk.”

2. Town Hall

“This is the tallest building in the city! It is 49.5 meters high, which is equal to a 16-story building. The town hall is located, of course, on the central square,” says Lera Pedan. “By the way, there is an observation deck at a height of 33 meters where you can climb. To get there, you have to climb 166 steps.”

3. 3.

“It’s located near the city lake, which is also called the Stanislavske Sea,” says Oleksandr. “Last year, they renovated it, so it turned out to be very nice and of high quality. The waterfront has playgrounds, a park area, and paths for cyclists and joggers. You can rent a bicycle, a scooter, and even a bicycle car.”

4. 4.

“Nezalezhnist Street is the main pedestrian street in the city,” says Valeria. – By the way, the locals call it a hundred-meter or simply a hundred square meters. This is because when the street appeared, it was exactly 100 meters long. And now it’s a place for meetings for coffee or an evening promenade.”

5. Ten Restaurant (4 Shashkevycha St.)

“The students told us that it’s very tasty, cheap, and the portions are big. You could say that it’s a pop place, but we had to come here because the students recommended it,” says the project host. “It’s really delicious, and the portions are so big that you’ll be full! Some dishes can be taken for two.”

6. “Promprylad. Renovation” (23 Ukrainska Peremohy St.)

“To be in Frankivsk and not visit Promprylad. Renovation” means not being in Frankivsk! This is the most modern and coolest place. It’s a real business and cultural hub,” says Oleksandr Pedan, “It’s an office center for modern companies where you can have coffee with friends, just relax, and even work on the terrace. We advise you to visit!”
