Ukrainian chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo shared a recipe for a juicy and delicious shawarma. 

“You asked for it, I did it: here is the recipe for the juicy shawarma that you can make yourself at home. P.S. In terms of composition and calories, shawarma is a healthy and nutritious dish. Leave the stereotypes behind and enjoy the taste to the fullest,” says Ektor.
Ingredients:
  • Chicken thigh – 200 grams;
  • Pita bread – 1 pc.
  • Smoked paprika – 1 gram;
  • Cumin – 1 gram;
  • Garlic – 3 grams;
  • Fennel – 1 gram;
  • Zira – 1 gram;
  • Greek yogurt – 300 ml;
  • Dill – 5 grams:
  • Pickles – 15 grams;
  • Sunflower oil;
  • Tomato – 30 grams;
  • Blue onions – 15 grams;
  • Iceberg salad – 30-50 grams.
 Shawarma: themethod of preparation :

Prepare the sauce: chop the cumin, fennel, and zira, add the chopped pickles, dill, and Greek yogurt, and mix well. Season the chicken thigh with smoked paprika and pepper, drizzle with sunflower oil and Greek yogurt, add garlic and mix. Fry the chicken until golden brown. Cut the meat. Put the cucumber sauce, iceberg, slices of blue onion and tomatoes, cilantro, salt and pepper on the pita bread, put the meat, pour the sauce over it, and add a little more iceberg lettuce.
