Blackout during the winter: what products to stock up on

blackout

Blackout, another enemy attack and winter outside – all this reminds us that we need to stock up on nutritious food products of long-term storage. If necessary, you can take them with you to the shelter. It is desirable that these foods do not require a lot of water for cooking.

Blackout during the winter: a list of necessary foods

  • freeze-dried products (cereals, soups, noodles, granola)
  • canned meat, fish, vegetables
  • bread and cookies
  • nuts
  • chocolate
  • dried fruits
  • fruits (apples, pears, bananas, grapes, avocados)

Stock up on nuts, cookies, and freeze-dried foods in preparation for a possible blackout

Also, consider what foods you and your family consume. Make a three-day food supply for the home.

Even if there is no electricity, keep food in the refrigerator: it will keep cold for several hours after a power outage. Try to open the door as little as possible. Eat perishable foods first. If the temperature outside is low, food can be kept outside.

We will remind you that earlier we wrote how to make a candle with your own hands in the event of a blackout.
