DEMCHUK dedicated the song to his former lovers

DEMCHUK, a finalist of the Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine, presented the track “Knives” about a lost relationship that left only fond memories.

“Knives tells the story of two people separated by distance and time. The characters of the song eventually manage to meet, but the inflated expectations were destroyed by the sober realization that the “love story” has come to a logical conclusion.

“In the song, I tell my own story of emotions and feelings about a long-distance relationship. “Knives” was written at a time when the war separated me from my girlfriend. We ended our relationship, but when we met some time later, our feelings were rekindled… But we both realized that our history together was already over. We have forgotten all the grievances and misunderstandings, but we remain close and grateful to each other for this experience,” comments DEMCHUK.

“Knives” is a song about the ability to let go without pain and bitterness in your heart. A dialog between two lovers who are not looking for someone to blame, but only thank each other for the warmth that was between them.

“With this track, I want to give support to everyone whose relationships have not withstood separation and war,” adds the artist. – Just know that you are not alone and you are not to blame. Time is the ultimate healer”

DEMCHUK performed the track “Knives” live for the first time before the official release – at charity concerts dedicated to the Independence Day of Ukraine in Budapest, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Warsaw. From the very first lines of the song, hundreds of spectators sang along with the artist!
