Pickled purple cabbage: a recipe for the perfect appetizer
Pickled purple cabbage is a delicious and healthy appetizer that is easy to prepare. Ukrainian chef and restaurateur Volodymyr Yaroslavsky shared a recipe with our readers that everyone can make.
Pickled purple cabbage – ingredients:
- 300 grams of shredded cabbage;
- 250 milliliters of water;
- 30 grams of apple cider vinegar;
- 10 grams of salt
- 30 grams of sugar;
- cloves, star anise, coriander, fennel.
Method of cooking:
- Thinly chop the cabbage, mix it with salt, and put it in a half-liter jar.
- Separately, mix the water with all the spices, sugar, and vinegar. Bring to a boil and pour over the marinade that has just been removed from the stove.
- You can add oils on top, if desired.
- You can put the still hot jar of cabbage in hot water for 10 to 15 minutes to marinate it well.
- Cool and let stand until the evening.
