New Channel is shooting the second season of “On Knives”

Start on the knives The owners of the establishments will have a chance to turn a loss-making business into a successful one in the war. And in the fall, we will be watching on Novy Channel to see if they managed to correct their mistakes and avoid closure. You asked for it – we did it! The first season of On Knives with Alex Yakutov was so popular with viewers and received so many positive reviews that New Channel extended the project for a second season. And its filming started today!

“The new season of the On Knives project is a dedication to all restaurateurs and catering staff who have been helping to protect the country since the first days of the full-scale invasion. “If earlier restaurants were associated with leisure, after February 24, 2022, everything changed radically,” says Bogdan Zarubin, head of the On Knives reality show, “From the first day of the great war, the vast majority of establishments supported and fed everyone who needed it,” including the Armed Forces, the military, and the local population. These are the restaurants that participated in the second season of On Knives.

The project will tell inspiring stories across the country. And most importantly, each of them is unique!

“Imagine a restaurateur who turned his restaurant into a hub for hundreds of evacuees in a few days. Or a small pizzeria in Irpin, whose staff gave all their products to the locals, and its co-owner joined the ranks of the TRO and later participated in the liberation of the city from the Nazis,” says Zarubin. – And despite the fact that the institutions managed to survive back then, today they are on the verge of ceasing to exist and closing. What are the reasons for this? This is exactly what the authoritative Chef Alex Yakutov has to find out.”

By the way, Yakutov knows firsthand what it’s like to work hard to win. From the first days of the Russian invasion, the New Channel Chef, along with other chefs, has been cooking for our defenders and internally displaced persons.

“At first, we fed the terrorist defense in Uman, which consisted of about 50 people. Then immigrants from the east began to arrive, fleeing the war. Every day there were more and more people. We helped them settle in dormitories and, together with other cooks, fed them for free three times a day. Sometimes we worked late in the kitchen. “As they say, once you start doing it, you can’t stop!” Alex Yakutov recalls. “We also cooked in Kyiv and delivered food to the military at the front line. I negotiated with suppliers, and they brought 5-10 tons of food, which we used to prepare meals and send to our defenders.”

Will restaurateurs be able to save their business in the current war realities? We will find out in the second season of the project “On Knives” with Alex Yakutov this fall on New Channel!
