Professionals finalist, a real “God of Meat”, volunteer Alik Mkrtchyan. Together, Yevhen and Alik cooked two incredibly delicious Ukrainian dishes! Yevhen Klopotenko will help Ukrainianize his guests’ favorite dishes and give new life to the products of our ancestors! Alik Mkrtchyan brought a chicken  burger to the project’s kitchen… ! How do you make a Ukrainian dish with similar ingredients? Yevhen Klopotenko suggested making noodles with chicken mitballs. This is a simple but incredibly tasty dish that was adored by the Ukrainian poet Mykhailo Semenko.

Hell’s Bread with Yevhen Klopotenko

Ingredients:
  • Wheat flour – 200 grams;
  • Eggs – 3 pcs;
  • Water – 50 ml;
  • Oil – 1 tbsp;
  • Salt;
  • Minced chicken – 400 grams;
  • Dill seeds – 1 tsp;
  • Tomato – 2 pcs;
  • Onion – 1 pc.
Delicious Ukrainian dishes. Method of cooking noodles with chicken meatballs:

To prepare the dish, we need 200 grams of flour, 3 egg yolks, 50 ml of water, 15 grams of regular oil, and a pinch of salt. All of this should be well combined in one container, kneaded until smooth and elastic. The dough should not stick to your hands, but it should not be clogged either. Divide it into equal parts and roll it out nicely into a rectangular shape using a rolling pin. Next, roll the dough in a wave to make it easy to cut. Chop with a large amount of flour. Set aside the noodles and put water to boil. Prepare the chicken balls. To do this, we take 400 grams of minced meat, add only salt, and a wonderful Ukrainian spice – dill seeds, which are very important in this dish. Distribute it evenly, about 60 grams per ball. Next, chop the onion and two tomatoes separately and fry everything well in a frying pan. Boil the noodles for two minutes in boiling and well-salted water. We combine all this in a separate container. Bon appetit!

Hell’s Bread with Yevhen Klopotenko

The second authentic Ukrainian dish that Yevhen Klopotenko  offered to cook is cabbage rolls with catfish, potatoes and sauerkraut.

Ingredients:
  • Cabbage – 1 pc;
  • Potatoes – 5 pcs;
  • Garlic – 1 clove;
  • Catfish – 250 grams;
  • Onion – 1 pc;
  • Sauerkraut – 150 grams;
  • Sour cream – 2 tbsp;
  • Water – 100 ml;
  • Salt.
Method of cooking:

We need to take one head of white cabbage, cut out the head of cabbage and then boil it for 40 minutes in hot salted water. Next, we need to peel and chop the potatoes. Boil the potatoes for 30 minutes, but be sure to add garlic to give them a good flavor and aftertaste, and be sure to salt the water. After that, we make mashed potatoes or a crush. Next, remove the fillet from the catfish, fry the catfish together with the onions, add salt and no more spices. Take out the sauerkraut, take out the pestle and fried catfish with onions, and combine them in one container. Take out the cabbage, cool it, cut the leaves into two or, if possible, three pieces, and carefully roll them into small cabbage rolls. Put it all in a baking dish. Separately, mix sour cream with water, pour the mixture over the cabbage rolls, cover with two cabbage leaves, and put in the oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
