Pension indexation 2023: payments and allowances

Pension indexation in 2023: in the near future, the Cabinet of Ministers will index pensions, which will affect every pensioner. For example, combatants are entitled to an additional payment of UAH 523.25. At the same time, the total amount of such a citizen ‘s pension cannot be less than UAH 4,395.3. Instead, restrictions were imposed on those receiving large pensions.

Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych  at the telethon announced that in 2023 the smallest pensions will be indexed for the first time. 

“We saw that our smallest pensions are not subject to indexation. What is meant by this? There are about 4 million people who either do not have a very long pension record (once it was possible to retire with 5 years of insurance coverage) or whose wages were very low, for example, in agricultural work. And accordingly, the calculation of their pension is small, maybe 1.5 thousand. or 1.7 thousand, – said Oksana Zholnovych, Minister of Social Policy.

Indexation of pensions in 2023: with regard to the retirement age, men (both career military and not) who have the status of combatants can retire at 55, women – at 50.
