Vernal Equinox Day: the main signs
The day of the vernal equinox: March 20 is the date when winter finally goes into hibernation and spring comes. There comes a time when the length of the day and the length of the night become equal. This day is characterized by the fact that the Earth, which rotates on its axis and the Sun, faces the luminary in such a way that the rays fall exactly on the equator. Thus, the Northern and Southern hemispheres are illuminated equally, and therefore the time of day is equal to the time of night.
People say that this is the day when spring finally arrives after a cold winter: the snow melts, the first buds appear on the trees, snowdrops and snowdrops peek out from under the ground.
Signs for the Vernal Equinox
- If birds come, expect a bountiful harvest.
- The bluish horizon indicates that it will soon get warmer.
- If it’s freezing on that day, the weather will be the same for another 40 days.
- Swallows that weave on the south side of the nest indicate a cold summer.
- The snow melts, but the ice stays on until the harvest.
