Kateryna Osadcha and “Your Support” purchased a house for ten orphans from Luhansk region
In autumn, TV presenter Kateryna Osadcha together with the charitable foundation “Your Support” announced a large-scale fundraising of 3.2 million hryvnias for new housing for the family-type orphanage of the Tselukhins. Together with “Your Support” they created the project “Home for Children”.
“We want every large family to get their house that they lost because of the war. Our first family is the Tselukhins. Now the family has children from 4 to 16 years old, and they have no place to live this winter,” – Kateryna Osadcha wrote in her Instagram.
A new home to replace the destroyed one
Before the full-scale invasion, the Tselukhins lived in Rubizhne, Luhansk region, in a large house they built with their own hands. The family, having already two children of their own, took care of ten more orphans of different ages.
After February 24, the Tselukhins remained in Rubizhne for some time, hoping that their home would become their fortress, as it had always been. But after one of the children received a shrapnel wound, the family decided to evacuate. However, not all of them – the father of the family stayed to protect their “fortress”. However, after another enemy shelling, the man was killed, and the house of the Tselukhins burned to the ground.
In less than a month, Kateryna Osadcha together with “Your Support” managed to enlist the support of Ukrainians and foreign donors and raise even more money. It took several more months to find and buy a large house in Ivano-Frankivsk region, where the family evacuated. But finally the Tselukhins are in their new home, and the New Year and Christmas holidays were celebrated here as well.

I am happy and cry because we succeeded, despite all the difficulties! We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the collection, for each transferred hryvnia”, – Kateryna Osadcha signed her Instagram post under the photo of the youngest member of the Tselukhin family next to the Christmas tree.

Thank you to each of you who contributed! To each donor who did not pass by! You can not even imagine how much happiness you have given to the children!” the founder of the charity fund “Your Support” Valeria Tatarchuk wrote.
