Heady and hot mulled wine has become an attribute of winter holidays for a reason, because there is no more appropriate drink during the cold weather. It not only warms and creates a special mood, but also fills the kitchen with festive aromas during cooking. We tell you how to make delicious and unusual variants of the drink.

Honey mulled wine with rum and spices

Ingredients:
  • Red wine  – 750 ml
  • Honey – 3 tbsp
  • Cloves – 4 pcs
  • Cinnamon, sticks – 2 pcs
  • Rum – 100 ml
  • Orange –  1 pc
  • Grated ginger – 1 tbsp
Method of cooking:

Wash the orange, cut into small pieces. Put in a saucepan, pour wine. Add cloves, cinnamon and grated ginger. Put the pan on medium heat for 15 minutes, but do not bring to a boil, stir constantly. Remove from heat, add honey and rum. Cover with a lid for a few minutes. Then pour into glasses.

Mulled wine from white wine

Ingredients:

  • White wine – 800 ml
  • Orange – 2 pcs
  • Lemon – 1 pc
  • Sugar – 8 tbsp. Л
  • Badian – 2 pcs
  • Ground cinnamon – to taste
  • Apples – 2 pcs
Method of cooking:

Pour the wine into a saucepan and add spices and sugar. Rinse lemon, oranges and apples well. Cut lemon and oranges into half rings and apples into slices. Add the chopped fruit to a saucepan and put it on a small fire. As soon as the first bubbles appear, remove the mixture from the heat. Cover immediately and let it brew for 10 minutes. Pour hot mulled wine into glasses and serve.

Mulled wine with coffee and spices

Ingredients:
  • Red wine – 750 ml
  • Lemon – 1/2 pc.
  • Orange – 1 pc
  • Espresso coffee – 35 ml
  • Sugar – 100 g
  • Cloves – 3 pcs
  • Ground cinnamon – to taste
  • Ground nutmeg – to taste
Method of cooking:

Make an espresso. Wash lemon and orange under hot water and cut into slices. Mix wine, coffee, lemon, orange slices, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in a saucepan. Put on medium heat, but do not bring to a boil. Let it brew for 10 minutes, pour into cups and  enjoy!
