250 day of war

On the 250th day of the war, Ukraine is facing a full-scale invasion of Russia. 

Today, from the very morning, Russia fired missiles at energy facilities in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kyiv region, Kirovohrad region. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces worked in Odesa, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi.

De-energized cities

During  mass attack of the Russian Federation on October 31 damaged 18 objects in 10 regions of Ukraine. Most of them are energy-related, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said. According to him, hundreds of settlements in seven regions were cut off after the shelling.

Energy experts plan to stabilize the electricity situation  at approximately 10:00 p.m. on October 31.  DTEK specialists transferred 85% of the consumers without power to a backup power supply scheme. The back-up scheme will be in effect while the restoration work on the destroyed objects continues.

As a result of the morning shelling by the occupiers on October 31, about 450 stations of mobile operators were disabled in Kyiv alone. The director of the mobile internet department of the Ministry of Digital Transformation , Stanislav Pribitko, wrote about this on his Instagram.

Moldova

In Moldova, on the morning of October 31, a Russian rocket fell in the village of Naslavcha, Ocnytsky District, in the north of the country. The agency noted that the missile was shot down by the Ukrainian air defense system and fell on the northern edge of the settlement of Naslavcha, located on the border with Ukraine.

Grain deal 

Despite the withdrawal of the Russian Federation from the grain agreement, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN agreed on the movement of 14 ships with grain in the Black Sea. 

“President Putin must stop the militarization of food and stop his illegal war against Ukraine. We call on Russia to reconsider its decision and urgently renew the agreement, which will allow food to be delivered to those who need it the most,” Alliance spokeswoman Oanu Lungescu said. 

As part of the “grain initiative”, 397 ships have already exported 9 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products to countries in Africa, Asia and Europe through the ports of Great Odesa.

A record 69 thousand dollars

At an auction in the USA, the flag of Ukraine was sold for a record 69 thousand dollars. All money will go to help our state.

This time, in addition to the president, the flag was also signed by:

  • Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi;
  • Kateryna Polishchuk – “Bird” from “Azovstal”;
  • “Azovstal” defender and photographer Dmytro Kozatsky “Orest”;
  • Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi;
  • other Ukrainian military.

The auction took place at a charity dinner in Chicago. The owner of a logistics company in the USA, who comes from Ivano-Frankivsk region, bought the flag for a record sum.
