Ukraine’s national team presents the uniforms it will wear in friendly matches
The Ukrainian national team will play a number of charity matches. The players will take the field in new uniforms. This was announced by UAF President Andriy Pavelko.
The front of the T-shirts features a map of our country. Its outlines include the flags of other countries that are our allies and support Ukraine in its fight against Russia. In the middle of the card there is an inscription “United for Ukraine” and a chevron with the graphics of the U24 fundraising platform.
“The second element is the numbers of the players, which are depicted as the names of Ukrainian settlements. Where real Heroes live – from small children to the elderly. Settlements that were and continue to be defended by real Heroes, and which are already known to the whole world,” said UAF President Andriy Pavelko.
All the money raised from the matches will go to the needs of the Ukrainian people. The Ukrainian national team will defend the strength and courage of the entire society.
As a reminder, Denys Shmyhal said that the government is launching u24.gov.ua, a platform to raise funds to support Ukraine as part of the global United24 project initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The NBU will report daily on the collection of funds. All ministries will submit their reports to the public on what exactly the funds were spent on. Deloitte Ukraine, a part of the international Deloitte network, will verify the ministries’ reports and ensure the transparency of the platform.
The funds will be distributed in three main areas. The first is defense and demining. The second is humanitarian and medical aid, as well as assistance to children. The third is the reconstruction of Ukraine. Restoration of critical infrastructure, roads, bridges, schools and hospitals; restoration of electricity, water supply and communications.
