New ready-to-wear collection by Guranda
Italy has always captivated with its romantic atmosphere, incredible architecture, gastronomic diversity and incomparable style inherent in Italian beauties, and has repeatedly inspired designers to rethink and create new elegant forms. This season, the Guranda brand succumbed to the charms of the Italian style of the 50s, creating a new collection that, with its balance and calmness, could easily and harmoniously fit into the wardrobe of a resident of Bologna, Verona or Bergamo. It was then that Italian fashion gained popularity all over the world, and many cult films were shot, including those that demonstrated the charm, grace, and haughtiness of Italian fashionistas with a touch of spice. Designer Elena Guranda has combined these characteristic features of that time into a new line of the brand.

When creating the Guranda collection, we couldn’t help but think of the incomparable Sophia Loren, who has always been able to gracefully and cunningly attract attention with light hints and intriguing accents. The combination of delicate lines, complex shapes and silhouettes, familiar to us from the images of the Italian actress, has found a new vision in the images of the brand. Sophie also liked to emphasize her figure with corsets, which also became a part of some models.

It is impossible not to pay attention to the details that the designer paid a lot of attention to: a combination of different textured fabrics, the successful use of “everyday” denim with “festive” sequins, voluminous pockets and ruffles. The theme of contrasts also runs through the collection: for example, how suit looks with jackets and skirts or trousers change into elegant evening dresses – fiery gold or more restrained blue with a tulle skirt. The same can be said about the color scheme, because Guranda workshops combine pastel colors with bright ones, which creates a unique sense of luxury and elegance.
