Dollar exchange rate in Ukraine by the end of the week: expert forecast

The dollar exchange rate in Ukraine will fluctuate between 37.4 and 37.9 UAH/USD by the end of this week, namely May 21. This was predicted by Hanna Zolotko, Director of Treasury Operations at Unex Bank. 

“This course of events indicates a high degree of market balance. And the expanded limit on the sale of cash currency to households, which the NBU introduced in mid-April, remains a strong stabilizing factor in the market,” the expert explained.

As a reminder, until May 16, the cash hryvnia to dollar exchange rate remained at the previous day’s level of 37.80 UAH/USD. The hryvnia strengthened by 10 kopecks against the euro to 41.30 UAH/€. On average, the US currency could be sold at the rate of UAH 37.35 per dollar, and the euro at UAH 40.65 per euro.
