Original recipe with garlic from Alex Yakutov
Garlic Day is traditionally celebrated on April 19. Housewives use this product as a flavorful seasoning and appreciate it for its medicinal properties and healing composition. And today we have the opportunity to diversify the menu with a dish with garlic. Alex Yakutov, the chef and expert of the New Channel reality show On Knives, decided to help us find something delicious and showed us an easy recipe with garlic.

Alex Yakutov on knives
Ingredients:
- garlic – 2 heads
- soft cheese – 100 g
- white yogurt without additives – 150 g
- olive oil – 100 g
- salt – to taste
- ground black pepper – to taste
- white or black bread – 2-3 slices
- water – 2 tbsp. l.
- wine vinegar – 2 tbsp. l.
- tomatoes – 3 pcs.
- basil – 30 g
Recipe with garlic: cooking a dish:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Wrap the garlic heads in foil and bake for about 30 minutes. The garlic should become soft and golden.
- After taking the garlic out of the oven and cooling it down, squeeze it out of the peel into a deep plate.
- Add the cottage cheese, yogurt, olive oil, salt and pepper to the bowl. Beat with a blender. You will get a very pleasant garlic spread. Put it on a plate and spread it evenly.
- Now prepare the bread: stale bread is best for our dish. Soak it in water and wine vinegar. Leave on for 5-10 minutes. Press the bread and place it in a deep bowl.
- Add the chopped tomatoes to the bread. Season with salt and pepper. Add basil leaves and a little olive oil. Mix thoroughly.
- Put everything on a cheese and garlic “pillow”. If desired, add more basil and ground black pepper. Done!
