Masha Efrosynina launches a Center for Mental Recovery

Masha EfrosininaEvery day the great war takes lives and health of Ukrainians fighting for freedom and independence. Every day we cry or, on the contrary, we cannot release our anger, fear for our loved ones, and fatigue. For more than a year now, the MashaFoundation has been fighting for the psychological health of Ukrainian women who are mentally burning in the hell of war. We have launched a 3-week offline psycho-emotional stabilization program called “Unbreakable Mom” for women and children affected by the war. We are reviving Ukrainian women who returned from Russian captivity and survived war crimes, including sexual crimes committed by Russians. We teach teenage girls mental and physical self-defense in the Smilova program. We have helped tens of hundreds, but we want to help tens of thousands. Therefore, in 2023, Masha Yefrosynina will open the first Center for Mental Recovery for Women in Kyiv.

“This is our big dream, which is becoming more and more real every day,” Masha Efrosinina, co-founder of the Masha Foundation, told LIGA.net. – We want any woman who woke up in the morning not knowing what was happening to her to be able to come to our Center and get help from specialists.

Ukrainian women are very strong. So much so that they do not consider it necessary to seek help. In nine out of ten cases, she will say: “Something is wrong with me. I must be sick. I won’t tell anyone. They will think I am weak. Our boys and girls are dying over there, and I’m just being a pussy. No, no, no, I just need to take a pill or lie down for three days.” But it is normal to experience psychological crises because we live in hell. We read the news every day. Every day, someone we know dies. Our husbands, brothers, sons and friends are at the front. You have nothing to be happy about but the fact that you woke up.

We live an abnormal life for human nature. That’s why our goal is to create an oasis for any woman, where she will be told that she is normal! They will hold your hand, send you to group or individual therapy, meditation, massage or yoga.”

Masha Efrosinina: Masha Center Foundation

For the last six months, the Masha Foundation has been working on creating the Center in Kyiv. Our delegation, headed by the Foundation’s co-founders Masha Yefrosynina and Oksana Nechyporenko, traveled to Israel to learn from the experience of similar centers there. We are currently looking for premises, developing a methodology, and forming a team of methodologists and psychologists who will subsequently train others. Because we need hundreds of specialists to do a good job. And, of course, investments are essential to open the Center.

“I need help too. I also go to a psychologist. I also have breakdowns and tantrums. Sometimes I don’t want to go anywhere in the morning or even brush my teeth,” says Masha Efrosinina. – However, I know what to do in this state. I want all our women to have this knowledge and be able to bring themselves back to life. The mission of the Masha Foundation is to revive women for the sake of reviving Ukraine. And every day we are moving towards our goal of a mentally healthy nation.”

To open a mental recovery center for women, we really need your help. Both small donors and donations from large businesses are important. Tell your friends about the work of the Masha Foundation. But if you have the opportunity, please help us save Ukrainian women
