Ihor Lastochkin about the new season of "League of Laughter" at TET

Actor Ihor Lastochkin told on the air of “Breakfast with 1+1” how the pre-war filming of the 9th season of “Laughter League” took place, the premiere of which will take place tomorrow, November 11 at 18:00 on TET TV channel.

The last shooting day was February 23. Of course, then no one knew that the war would soon begin, but Ihor Lastochkin remembers that nevertheless, some tension was felt in the hall:

“There was a feeling that the audience was now not looking at the stage, but at their phones and discussing something among themselves.”

However, Lastochkin noted that the project is now relevant, because in such difficult times it is very important to maintain fighting spirit and to distract yourself:

“Nowhere without humor. I believe that humor is the most powerful medicine that can save you from depression and bad mood And, of course, humor is our weapon.”, – explained the actor.

Ihor also said that after the start of the full-scale invasion, he completely switched to Ukrainian, and explained why he did not do it earlier:

“For some reason it seemed to me that I could make a mistake, and I didn’t want to speak with mistakes But now I realized that there is no need to be afraid of this. It is necessary to speak Ukrainian”.

When the war started, Ihor Lastochkin, together with other participants of the “Laughter League”, changed their main activity from working on television to volunteering. In the Kyiv region, comedians dissect the ruins of residential buildings destroyed by invaders:

“We concluded that we are needed, and our hands are also needed. When the Kyiv region was already liberated and civilians could enter there, we began to clear the rubble.”

In addition, the “League of Laughs” founded their “Help League” fund, which is engaged in the purchase and installation of modular houses for Ukrainians who lost their homes as a result of Russia’s armed aggression. How to support this charity initiative – details in the “Laughter League” post .
