POSITIFF – about creativity during the war and dealing with stress

POSITIVEBehind the scenes of the “eVopytannya” project on the New Channel, POSITIFF exclusively told how the military comment on the performances of Ukrainian artists

The gloomy weather outside and the daily hard-to-believe news have a significant impact on the general state of Ukrainians. Some people can easily cope with stress and continue working, while others have to make a lot of effort to get a grip on themselves. Ukrainian celebrities also sometimes face apathy or anxiety. But after a year of full-scale war, they already have personal life hacks for dealing with such conditions. Behind the scenes of the show “eVopytannya”, which is broadcasted by the New Channel every Monday at 20:00, the author and performer of POSITIFF spoke about his experience.

“I turn on music. I think it’s the most important thing to distract myself now. Mostly jazz, soul, 70s funk, or modern Ukrainian funk,” says the artist. “I also listen to podcasts. Or I like to turn on stand-ups by American artists. I recommend listening to Dave Chappelle, Andrew Schultz, and Joe Rogan. Sweets also help me overcome stress. I admit that I’m on a diet right now, but you can eat dark chocolate, a banana, or gluten-free cookies, and everything will be fine.”

Oleksiy Zavhorodniy (real name of the artist – ed. note) admits that he has had a hard time writing songs lately.

“When I separated from all the producers, it was really hard. But now I’m in the process of making my work stable and cool,” he says. “It’s important to communicate with friends and family, to have people who will always support you. And, most importantly, to have a great team around you! And I have such a team.”

Over the past year, the artist has repeatedly participated in charity concerts and sang for our defenders.

“It doesn’t make a difference to whom you speak. We are all human beings! I am sure it is important to speak to the military. “They ‘jump’ when we give concerts for them,” admits POSITIFF, “and in a personal conversation they said: “Please, sing, make such holidays. Life goes on”.
