Timur Miroshnichenko spoke about the difficulties of adoption

Timur Miroshnychenko, the host of “Breakfast with 1+1” and ZhVL, started the adoption process with his wife without waiting for the war to end.

Timur Miroshnichenko noted that he, his wife and children have not yet chosen whether they want a girl or a boy. The main thing for them now is to fulfill numerous tasks and requirements from the state. After all, the adoption process can take years in Ukraine. But he hinted that they had already taken a liking to one boy whose photo they had seen on the site.

“It’s a very long process and it’s not a given that we will be able to take this particular boy we chose on the website by the time we have all the permits. It’s a very complicated system,” the host admitted.

Miroshnychenko said that the adoption process in Ukraine is very bureaucratic. And children who lost their parents during the war are not even in the queue for adoption yet.

“On the one hand, we were pleasantly surprised that there were so many people willing to adopt children, but on the other hand, this is such a complex issue, very difficult. And I understand why – this is still a very serious process. You can’t just hand out children left and right.
As you know, one of the conditions for joining the EU is the abolition of orphanages. They should be replaced by family education. So we and people like us are doing an important job for the future of the state. We set an example and inspire. Because Ukrainian children will definitely grow up happier in a family. The remnant of the Soviet system, orphanages, should be gradually eliminated. Almost all of our neighboring countries have gone through this process when they joined the EU. I am sure we will pass together. Our European colleagues have promised to help us reform the guardianship system right now,” the host said.
