A special evening for Ukrainians in Europe: ONUKA will play in Warsaw and Berlin

Ukrainian electro-folk band ONUKA will come to Warsaw and Berlin with concert shows. The performance in the Polish capital will take place on November 14 at the Progressia club. The concert in Berlin will be held on November 15 in the legendary Admiralspalast theater. These will be special evenings for all Ukrainians and supporters of ONUKA in Europe. 

The last time the band came to Warsaw as part of a European tour was after ONUKA’s participation in the Eurovision Grand Final in 2017.

ONUKA will play in Warsaw and Berlin

In 2022, Nata returns to the capital of Poland. On November 14, she will not only speak, but also meet with all those who are interested in the Ukrainian House in Warsaw, tell about her foundation and collect stories of Ukrainians. During the meeting, both Ukrainians and Poles will be able to share their own archival photos from their phones and memories of their favorite cities of Ukraine.

Partners of the meeting will be  the newspaper for Ukrainians “Our Choice” and the Ukrainian House in Warsaw .

The band’s Berlin concert will take place in the cultural center of the city — the Admiralspalast theater, which has a rich history. Opened in 1910, it is one of the few entertainment establishments in the city that has survived from pre-war times.

2 hours before the concert, an impromptu photo exhibition “Your City” will be held in the lobby of Admiralpalast. On it, Ukrainians, together with Germans, will “revive” the destroyed cities of the country with the help of footage from their phones.

A map of Ukraine will also be installed in the lobby. Everyone will be able to mark their hometown on it.

Information partners of the Berlin event will be the Ukrainian activist organization in Berlin Vitsche and the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany.

ONUKA

ONUKA constantly raises socially important issues: environmental problems, consequences of the Chernobyl accident, human and animal rights. In particular, at the beginning of 2022, Nata went on an expedition to the north of Ukraine as part of the ZAPAL documentary project. She went to the Chornobyl zone to record the unique songs of the self-made people.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, ONUKA has become an ambassador of the charitable foundation “This is my city”. This organization deals with targeted assistance to the community of the ancient Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, the singer’s hometown. Part of the funds from each concert Nat directs to the restoration of the architecture of Chernihiv and the needs of the townspeople.

That is why ONUKA is currently performing for charity all over the world, in particular, it held a mini-tour in the USA, played in Portugal, France, Estonia, Romania and Moldova.
