Stockholm Fashion Week: Limarenko brand

The Swedish Fashion Association presented Stockholm Fashion Week from August 31 to September 2, 2022. This year, five Ukrainian brands were represented by the showcase, which included Alona Cini, Leko, Limarenko, Pitaya and Purpure Queen.

For the Limarenko brand, this event was special, as before that shows were held only in Ukraine. Among the guests, you could see famous Swedish bloggers, public figures, editors and photographers of Scandinavian Vogue and Elle, who came to support Ukrainians at this event.

The “Khustka” collection was created with the beginning of the war in Ukraine. The designer wanted to express in it the strength of Ukrainian culture, the beauty of our traditions, and the fact that they can be stylishly and originally combined in modern images. It included upcycle shirts and jackets decorated with Ukrainian scarves.

Recently, the brand is 100%  switched to zero-waste production, so vintage handkerchiefs can also be used. The designer collected them around Ukraine from grandmothers who no longer used them, but it was a shame to get rid of them. For a designer, this collection is extremely valuable, because each item is unique and carries a great story.

The clothes are currently available for order on the Instagram profile, and will soon be presented on the brand’s website.
