Zlata Ognjevic voiced the story of a brave sapper dog
Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognjevic voiced the fairy tale “My (over)ordinary Dog” dedicated to all rescue animals during the war. Audio story from the project series “Brave tales” is already available in Telegram channels Suspilne Tales and on YouTube channels “Brobaks”.
“A new story of the children’s project by Hromadske TV about the special role of animals in our lives. They are not only rescuers during search operations and mine clearance, they are the saviors of our souls. Ukrainians’ concern for animals during the war is about humanity,” – the project team notes.
My (super)ordinary dog
In the fairy tale “My (Super)Ordinary Dog” tells the story of a dog found by two brothers on the street in the middle of winter and his remarkable life as a rescuer.
“When I was a kid, I used to love telling fairy tales to my parents and friends and imitating their voices. Fairy tales play a very important role in my life. After all, it is through them that children learn about the world, what kindness, friendship, and how to help their neighbors are. Despite the fact that the fairy tale is easy to understand, it has a very powerful idea. Namely, no matter what difficulties you face in your life, the day will come when your voice will be heard. You have to believe in yourself, and, of course, it is very important to have people around you who will strengthen and support this belief”, – comments Zlata Ognjevic.
The singer’s family has a dog, Brooke, who now lives with her parents. Before recording the audio story, Zlata shared a memory, that as a child, dreamed of opening a large animal shelter where she and her friends could take in animals and treat them.
“During the full-scale invasion, animals turned out to be not only friends, but also real rescuers who tirelessly help many people. When the Dog detected danger in the fairy tale and warned them about it with his voice, thus saving their lives, I burst into tears. I imagined how now, in real life, many of our four-legged friends are saving human lives by detecting mines and warning of danger”, – she added Zlata Ognjevic.
Turn on “Brave tales” children in shelters, on a long journey, in evacuation or at home during curfews. And also use it as a means of distracting kids from the anxiety caused by shelling and sirens!
