VERKA SERDUCHKA in Amsterdam: a performance by a Ukrainian star

On November 16, Amsterdam’s largest concert arena, the Ziggo Dome, hosted the annual “Eurovision” Het Grote Songfestivalfeest, which brought together the most loyal fans of the song contest from all over the world. This time, the lineup included Conchita Wurst, Käärij, ALIKA, Johnny Logan, KEiiNO, Cornelia Jacobs, Ruth Jacott, Bobbysocks, Ruslana and, of course, the inimitable VERKA SERDUCHKA. 

It is from the stage of Het Grote Songfestivalfeest that most fans of “Eurovision” fans first heard the updated version of the track Dancing Lasha Tumbai, whose chorus now sounds exclusively like russia GOODBYE. Just now VERKA SERDUCHKA sang these cherished words, and the audience of thousands began to sing along loudly. Overall, the performance was enchanting: Serdyuchka chanted “Ukraine – It’s cool, Ukraine will win“, her shoes flew into the audience, and Mom danced with the Ukrainian flag, charging everyone with her energy. Judging by the reaction, the audience liked the upgrade of the hit even more than the original.

Meanwhile, the VERKA SERDUCHKA team was touched by the support of the participants and organizers of Het Grote Songfestivalfeest. Behind the scenes, all of them – From musicians to sound engineers and lighting designers, they came up to say warm words about Ukraine and express their faith in our victory.
