Olena Zelenska arrives at the UN General Assembly in an ANDRE TAN suit

Olena Zelenska

The 78th session of the UN General Assembly has begun in New York, bringing together leaders and officials from around the world. The first lady, Olena Zelenska, traveled to the United States with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, she had an important meeting with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on further partnership and assistance to our country.

Olena Zelenska came to the meeting in a symbolic, custom-made navy blue suit by ANDRE TAN Аtelier. The jacket from this costume has a white border, symbolizing the aspirations and hopes of the Ukrainian people – the white stripe that always comes after the black one.

Dark blue, according to recent research, is the most “calming” and balanced color, which resonates very well with the idea of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program, which was discussed at the meeting of the First Lady with the WHO Director General. The fabric for the costume was made by craftsmen from Chernihiv wool.

Andre Tan:

“I am very grateful to Olena Zelenska for supporting the domestic manufacturer, and to the Armed Forces and the Ukrainian people for their courage, strength and hope. I am proud of our people and the craftsmen from Chernihiv who made the fabric for the suit. From Chernihiv to New York and on to the pages of the media around the world! There are extremely important, historic events taking place that lay the foundation for our post-war future, so I am happy to modestly contribute to this.”
