“Do not wait, but act”: stars about the strength of our people

Celebrating the Independence Day of Ukraine OF STB stars told us what they consider to be the strength of Ukrainians.

Tatyana Vysotskaya, host of the Yedynye Novosti marathon, Vignette News, and the DNA Secrets program on STB:

There are many pompous phrases about the strength of Ukrainians about their indomitability and heroism. But I remember the words of one of our program’s protagonists, the mother of a prisoner of war. When I asked her: “How are you holding up so incredibly well?” she said: “I have no other choice.” I think we all don’t have it, because it’s literally freedom or death.

It is gratifying to see more and more Ukrainians realize the power of our embroidery.  First of all, it’s beautiful. Secondly, it is important. Vyshyvanka has long been the “secret of our DNA,” self-identity and national aesthetics. I prophetically bought mine almost 10 years ago, at the beginning of the war. Who knew that we would be lifting that viburnum so much!

Yana Brenzey, host of the United News marathon and the Window News program on STB:

In the first months of the great war, a subscriber from a small village wrote to me. She said that they are collecting signatures for an appeal to Biden and Stoltenberg to close the skies over Ukraine. And none of the locals believed that they did not have the right to make such an appeal or were not worthy of writing to world leaders. Because they are not small people, their voices matter.

Unfortunately, they and millions of other Ukrainians were not listened to. But for me, this is a story about the dignity of our people, their willingness to unite and take responsibility for their lives and their country. Don’t sit and wait, but act. And this is the greatest strength of our people.

Orest Drymalovsky, host of the United News marathon and the Window News program on STB:

The strength of Ukrainians is in love. To my country. To their towns and villages. To my people. To your daily rhythm of life. This is what we are ready to defend and fight for. Sometimes I think that we did not know how strong, effective and courageous we can be when we are together. This is something the enemy did not take into account when preparing its war. I am sure that is why he will lose.

Nadezhda Matveeva, host of the programs “The Incredible Truth About Stars” and “Call Sign Nadezhda” on STB:

The strength of Ukrainians is in unity and the belief that we have enough perseverance, will, and confidence to overcome the external and internal enemy. In support of the defenders, in principled commitment to Ukraine’s independence. The strength of Ukrainians lies in their love for their family, their native land, and their belief in the future of our nation.

Grigory Reshetnikhost of The Incredible Truth About Stars, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette on STB):

Ukrainians have many advantages and superpowers. One of them is our indestructibility. Not only the invaders, but also the whole world underestimated the strength of our nation, which lies in its unity, indestructibility, character, and genetic code. We do not give up, we fight to the last.

But we also need to nourish our strength, continue to work, and help our heroes. I bow to our defenders. I admire each and every one of them. I am convinced that we will win and start a new countdown in our history.

Be strong and unbreakable, love Ukraine. And remember: we were born on this land to glorify and defend it.

Maryna Borzhemska, host of the Happy in 7 Days project:

The strength of Ukrainians lies in our sincerity, frankness, and desire for excellence and a better life. We are strong because we have an indomitable spirit and a great thirst for victory.

Despite the conditions in which we all live today, we continue to work, donate to the Armed Forces every day, and become stronger and more confident that we are on the right track, that we will pass all the challenges with dignity, because we are a united, strong and courageous nation. And we have proven it to the whole world.

Hector Jimenez-Bravo, judge of the MasterChef project on STB:

The strength of Ukrainians is in unity. The fact that the nation is fully formed. For many years there was a certain split, but now it is gone, because we all have a common enemy. This unity, perseverance, and desire for freedom are the three factors that allow Ukraine to continue to fight for its independence against the enemy. To being progressive, to being  winners.

The strength of Ukrainians is also that you are very creative. Despite everything, you invent new technologies, open new businesses, etc.

The strength of Ukrainians is in their ability to work, in the way you work hard and are not afraid of it, do not give up, do not give up because of obstacles. Despite the shelling and explosions, you continue to live, work, earn money, pay taxes, and create new jobs.

I believe in the Ukrainian mentality and potential. I believe that the Ukrainians who left will return after our victory to develop the coolest country in the world – Ukraine!

Vladimir Yaroslavsky, judge of the MasterChef project on STB:

Our strength is that we unite and fight. All countries admire how strongly Ukrainians united during the full-scale offensive. Of course, because we are determined to win!

I am inspired by the way we support each other in the congregation. We are already used to donating, we look for support within ourselves, we look for support in each other, we know how to sympathize and we will always find time to hug. Ukrainians are really incredible people!

Yevhen Klopotenko, host of the project Hell’s Bread with Yevhen Klopotenko on STB:

I think the strength of Ukrainians is in their unity. So, We don’t know how to unite for no reason. However, we unite very quickly when we have a common enemy. If someone touches our freedom, family or fence, we start fighting. It has always been like that.

Today, I am delighted to see that despite the threat of death, there is no panic among Ukrainian society. Instead, there is a lot of support and love. We are showing the world what Ukraine is and how it differs from the enemy. And when we win, we will turn our country into a dream country.

There is a lot of Ukrainian feeling circulating in each of us now. This is our energy and our strength. We realize the value of our country and our culture more than ever. And people who have such a deep awareness create great things. I am sure that scientists will study Ukrainian DNA to understand what makes our nation unique.

Tatiana Kravchenko (Olga Kosach in the detective series “Trace” on STB):

The strength of Ukrainians is in unity. Today we must forget everything that can separate us from each other. Unity is not just a way to survive, it is a way to survive and preserve not only the Motherland but also the ethnic group.

My personal strength is to keep my family alive and healthy.

Iryna Mordusenko (Vlada Berizka in the detective series “Trace” on STB):

The strength of Ukrainians is in their people, of course! In ourselves. We are the “weapon”, the nation that can stop anything and anyone.

And my personal strength now lies in motherhood. It’s about raising your child in Ukraine. To raise and educate a future Ukrainian who will know the truth and be able to recognize a lie. This is important for the future of Ukraine.

Albina Pererva (Albina Panchuk in the TV series “Trace”):

The strength of Ukrainians lies in their incredible desire to be themselves, to be needed by their land and their family. Hence the power of unity, spirit and motivation.

In my opinion, there is no nation stronger and more powerful than us – this has been proven by more than one generation. The power is in the Ukrainians themselves.

And my personal strength is in the smile I give to everyone. Helping people. I love knowing that today I have helped someone, fed them, cheered them up with a smile or a word.
