This summer, several Polish cities saw record housing prices. A large increase in value was confirmed by the National Bank of Poland.

The real estate market in Poland has experienced a real boom this summer. For example, in Wroclaw, average housing prices crossed the 11,000 zloty (UAH 97,900) per square meter mark for the first time.

This year, the largest growth was shown in Katowice, Krakow and Sosnowiec, where prices in July 2023 increased by 13% compared to December 2022. Warsaw also recorded 10% growth. On the other hand, prices in Gdańsk and Szczecin remained lower than in December of the previous year.

The highest average prices in history were set in the following Polish cities (cost per square meter):

  • Warsaw – PLN 14,265;
  • Krakow – PLN 12,664;
  • Wroclaw – 11,279 zlotys;
  • Bialystok – PLN 8,898;
  • Lublin – PLN 8,878;
  • Toruń – PLN 7,997;
  • Lodz – PLN 7,903;
  • Sosnowiec – PLN 6,480.
