Warsaw-Radom: a new international airport
The official opening of Warsaw-Radom Airport, located about 100 kilometers from the Polish capital, was attended by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
“Today, Warsaw-Okęce Airport is absolutely congested, so the creation of this airport is of great importance to relieve the port of Warsaw-Okęce and, in the future, the Central Communication Port. Therefore, it makes a lot of sense in terms of infrastructure and logistics,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
LOT, the Polish national carrier, will operate flights from Radom. Starting April 28, passengers can fly to three European cities: Paris, Rome and Copenhagen.
The cost of investment in Warsaw-Radom Airport is about PLN 800 million. The terminal will be able to handle about a million passengers at the initial stage, and then more than three million people annually.
