Mark Lennon to head Defense Innovation Council as part of Brave1

Mark Lennon Brave 1Mark Lennon, Director of Government Relations at Apple Inc. and a U.S. Navy Reserve Officer and war veteran, will head the Defense Innovation Council within Brave1. This information was shared by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov on his social media. 

“Apple executive Mark Lennon will head the Defense Innovation Council within Brave1. His expertise and experience will help Ukrainian developers maximize their potential. And after the victory, we will export our technologies to the whole world.”

Fedorov also spoke about the main functions of the Brave1 defense tech cluster:

“The cluster will become a single platform for cooperation between Defense Tech companies, the state and the military. As well as investors, volunteer foundations, media and everyone who helps bring victory closer through technology.”

“Any startup with an innovative product MVP and a desire to launch mass production, or an independent developer or company with a clear idea, will be able to get all the necessary expertise on one platform. And then win a government contract for their product.”

The Minister emphasized that:

“Brave1 will be an important part of the entire defense technology ecosystem. We will develop technologies, look for revolutionary solutions, implement innovations, inspire and support our defenders.”
