STB has released the fourth episode of the culinary project MasterChef. Professionals” -4. Participants cooked on sand and stones, recreated the cuisine of Ukraine’s regions, and took on real challenges! What surprised the chefs and who left the reality show?

With gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and with a daily desire to be an emotional support to their unbreakable country, STB TV channel and Starlight Media Group continue to create Ukrainian creative product.

The first competition of the week was a team competition. The participants were divided into four teams, each of which was given culinary challenges that they chose for themselves! The presenter offered the participants certain tasks, for example, to cook a Peking duck in one hour, to make six different carrot slices in 5 minutes, etc. Among the challenges offered by the judges were traps that were simply impossible to execute! The teams cooked colorful pancakes in 20 minutes using natural dyes; whipped mayonnaise with a fork in 5 minutes; made vodka sorbet without an ice cream maker, etc. At the end of the challenge, the judges identified the teams that did the worst job. The captains of the weakest teams, Sashko Dimitrov and Vasyl Tomyshch, decided that they deserved to wear black aprons.

In the second team competition, Victoria Sopina chose her competitors. When she chose Yura Kryzhanovsky as captain, the confectioner expected him to be defeated. But not all the participants in the MasterChef kitchen agree with this opinion:

“Everyone considers him the weakest. But I don’t think so. He definitely has his strengths,” said Anton Gilchuk.

Sasha became the third captain. After choosing their sous chefs, the participants learned about the conditions of the challenge. The captains had to leave the kitchen. The rules are simple: cook 5 dishes of Ukrainian cuisine, each of which should represent one of the regions of Ukraine. But it’s up to the captain to figure out which area a particular dish belongs to! The cooks immediately began to recall all their knowledge of ethnic cuisine. Kyiv cake was prepared for Kyiv region, tomatoes for Kherson region, forshmak for Odesa region, and so on.

Yura and Sasha guessed the most dishes. But in terms of taste, Yurko’s team won. Vika Sopina, who underestimated her opponent, and Ivan Ivanchuk received the black apron.

At the end of the week there was a battle of black. Under the mystery boxes were dishes on which the participants were to serve the dishes. Sand, stones, soil, grass – they symbolized the Oleshky Sands, the Carpathian Mountains, the Polissya Forests, and the Donbas Steppe. The judges wanted the chefs to make nature appetizing as well. An attribute from a box should be used as a plate, and the dish should be made an integral part of the installation.  Vasyl Tomyshch was the worst at the task. So in episode 4, he was the one who left the project.
