“Yellow Mallows”: Wellboy shares a touching video

Wellboy, a Ukrainian artist of the Papa music label, shared a touching video for the song “Yellow Mallows”. The composition was previously presented as part of the album “8 Maribu” and has already become a favorite among listeners.

In his new mood video, the artist showed documentary footage shot during a charity tour of Canada. The life of Anton Velboy’s team behind the scenes, preparation for concerts, fragments from performances and warm meetings with Ukrainians far from home – all this and more can be seen in the video “Yellow Mallows”.

The tour was in support of Ukraine. The artist gave concerts in four cities, namely Montreal, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto. Wellboy actively engaged people in raising funds for the reconstruction of Ukrainian monuments and cultural sites that were destroyed by the war. In addition, during the concert in Toronto, an auction was held where the ukulele from the “Cherry” video was successfully sold.

Ms. Ivanna, who is originally from Lviv region, bought the musical instrument for 4000 Canadian dollars, which is more than 100,000 hryvnias. The money went to a good cause. Anton and his team transferred this amount to restore the Balakliya Children’s Music School, which was damaged by the occupiers during the full-scale invasion.

“I have a lot of impressions from the concerts in Canada and from Canada in general. I went out to the people and rocked. I encouraged them, and they encouraged me. In general, we did a good deed for the restoration of our country. There was a warm atmosphere. We sang together, people knew the songs from my new album. It was nice. They sang along to “Yellow Mallows” as well. For me, it’s a symbol that very soon “yellow mallows will bloom under the blue sky in the middle of winter” and everything will be fine. We will definitely win and peace will reign on our Ukrainian land. I am sure we are all doing our best to bring the victory over the enemy closer. We will overcome everything, because we believe in the guys from the Armed Forces,” said Anton Velboy.

As a reminder, Wellboy has recently become an ambassador of the Preserve Ukrainian Culture project at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy. And at the end of December 2022, he presented the album “8 Maribu” and the video “Home”. In a short period of time, the work has already gained almost 5 million views and continues to hold high positions in the charts.
