Starting today, Ukrainians can exchange five old incandescent light bulbs for energy-saving LED bulbs for free. This can be done through Diia by submitting a corresponding application. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

How to apply

According to the agency, you can exchange light bulbs through the public services app using the following algorithm:

  • log in to Diia in a convenient way,
  • click on the Services menu and select the Light bulb exchange service,
  • and then specify: contact phone number, Ukrposhta branch where you want to pick up the bulbs, type and number of LED bulbs you want to receive (for example: 3 E14, 2 E27),
  • after the application is confirmed, the lamps will be stored at the Ukrposhta branch for 5 days.

What if there is no Diya?

The Ministry of Digital Transformation explains if it is not possible to order an exchange through Diia, you can go to the Ukrposhta branch  and get the bulbs there. To do this, you need to bring your passport, tax number, and lamps.

“The first batches of lamps will be delivered to regional centers (except for the temporarily occupied Donetsk, Luhansk, Simferopol and Sevastopol). They will also be delivered to Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Kryvyi Rih. By the end of February, LED lamps should be delivered to other settlements of Ukraine,” – the Ministry of Digital Transformation added.
