Morning attack by drones and missiles: what is known
On the morning of October 18, the occupiers again attacked a number of Ukrainian cities with missiles and drones. Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhzhia came under fire.
Kyiv
In Kyiv, the occupiers struck two objects of critical infrastructure in the Desnyan district. Previously, two people died, another was injured, – the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office reported. Currently, many houses on the left bank of the capital are partially without electricity and water. In particular, in Troeshchyna and the Forest massif. Due to the lack of voltage in the Troeshchyna, a number of trolleybuses and trams have changed their traffic .
Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko appealed to the people of Kyiv to use resources as economically as possible:
“Do not turn on powerful electrical appliances – air conditioners, electric kettles, microwave ovens, etc. Residents with reduced pressure in the water supply network should use water as economically as possible now. In homes where the water supply has already been temporarily stopped, residents are asked to find the nearest pump station, column or vending machine for drinking water, and stock up on water. City services are doing everything possible to stabilize the situation as soon as possible and return vital services to the people of Kyiv.” Vitaliy Klitschko wrote on Facebook.
Mykolayiv
The morning was also restless in Mykolaiv. Here, a two-story residential building in the Central district of the city was destroyed as a result of S-300 missiles fired by the occupiers. Rescuers retrieved the body of a 55-year-old man from under the rubble. The flower market was also affected.

Dnipro
In Dnipro, some areas of the city, as well as Sinelnikovo and Vasylkivka, were left without power due to rockets hitting energy infrastructure facilities. One of the pumping stations is de-energized “Dniprovodokanal”. There are water interruptions on the left bank of the Dnipro city.

Zhytomyr
Two missile strikes on energy facilities left Zhytomyr without electricity and water. Emergency services are working at the place of arrival. Two people were injured, city mayor Serhiy Sukhomlyn said.
Zaporizhzhia
In Zaporizhzhia, two kamikaze drones hit an infrastructure facility and a warehouse.
Kharkiv
In Kharkiv, the district of an industrial enterprise came under fire. The rockets flew from Belgorod, Russia.
Ukrainians were urged to save electricity
Currently, due to morning strikes on energy infrastructure, power outages are possible in Kyiv and Dnipro, DTEK warned. This is necessary in order to restore power. Ukrainians are asked to charge phones and power banks, as well as to limit the use of energy-intensive appliances: boilers, washing machines, heaters and air conditioners.
Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi has already reacted to Russia’s terrorist actions. He posted a video and wrote that the occupiers continue to do what they do best – terrorize and kill civilians. The footage shows a destroyed building in Mykolaiv.

In general, today the occupiers shelled the territory of Ukraine with calibers launched from the sea, kamikaze drones, as well as ballistic missiles. Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this. According to him, calibers were launched from the south, and ballistic missiles – from the north. Ukraine was also attacked by strategic aviation from the Rostov region – these are Tu-95, Tu-160 aircraft.
