TVORCHI sang about unity and went against the wind in a new video
TVORCHI presented a cinematic video for their new single “Razom”, which is dedicated to the unity of the nation in a turbulent time.
The video begins with a quote from an African proverb, spoken by TVORCHI’s lead singer Jeffrey: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” The video is filled with allegories and deep meanings. The band members in their bulky, layered outfits walk side by side against strong gusts of wind that knock them down. This is how artists really feel the turbulent path that Ukrainians are going through today.
– We wrote the track “Razom” after the first part of our All-Ukrainian tour. We gave concerts in 11 cities of Ukraine, and in every city we visited, in every hall we saw people who wanted one thing – peace and victory. Thousands of people united by a single desire. This unity is a driving force that we sometimes forget about under the burden of circumstances and at the same time become very vulnerable. – told TVORCHI. In a few days, the second part of our tour will begin in the east of the country, where the track “Razom” will be performed live for the first time. We want to bring it to the cities that are having a particularly hard time right now and say that we are here and wherever we are, we are together, we are all for the same thing, we are holding on.
The video was shot for over ten hours on the campus of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic University. The storm was created under the pressure of a powerful fan, and the costumes of each of the artists weighed more than 10 kilograms.
– We tried to convey the emotional state in which most of us live now. We are people resisting a huge gust of wind. This wind symbolizes the difficulty of the path: the stronger it blows, the harder it is for us to move forward. And when we walk alone, we cannot withstand this flow, it wears us down, but when we stand together, we can overcome everything,” said director Ruslan Makhov about the idea of the video.
“As long as we share the warmth together, life has meaning,” are the words from the track “Together” that TVORCHI emphasize as the main idea of the song.
