Beating a child in a Kyiv kindergarten: the teacher continues to work
Today, exclusively for Breakfast with 1+1, hosts Ruslan Senichkin and Lyudmyla Barbir learned firsthand all the details of the beating of a child that took place on October 11 at the Kyiv kindergarten 513. The mother of two-year-old Vlada told us how her child’s visit to the nursery group of this kindergarten ended:
“I got a call from the teacher who said that she had accidentally scratched the baby with her fingernail while putting on a blouse. The teacher apologized, said that everything was fine, that she had put green paint on it, and that I shouldn’t worry. I believed her,” said Anastasia, the child’s mother.
In the evening, when the father took the girl home, the parents saw large bruises on the child’s neck. They questioned little Vlada, and the girl told them how she was beaten in kindergarten:
“How the teacher covered her mouth, how she hit her in the chest, how she scratched her neck. Apparently, the child was crying, and they were hitting her on the lips and saying, ‘Don’t cry, close your mouth,'” said little Vlada’s mother.
The police refused to open a case against the parents due to insufficient evidence, and they also did not want to refer them to a forensic examination. The couple did not stop and filed a lawsuit against the inaction of law enforcement agencies.
The journalists of “Breakfast with 1+1” called the director of the kindergarten, Kapustyan Lyudmyla, but she was not willing to talk:
“The teacher is at work, but we will give all comments after the investigation is over,” the director of the institution said by phone.
The teacher who abused Anastasia’s daughter is still working with the children, and she has not been suspended from her job.
