Will there be mass events on Independence Day in Kyiv?

This year, no mass events are planned in Kyiv to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day on August 24.

“The city will not hold mass events. All events will be local. Instead, the Office of the President and the Government have not yet finalized the format of the state events. Perhaps, like last year, it will be an exhibition of equipment. However, we are still waiting for the final information,” said Volodymyr Bondarenko, deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration.

At the same time, on August 23, a celebration will be held to raise the national flag near the city hall.
