President of the European Commission arrives in Kyiv

On May 9, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, arrived in Kyiv. She wrote about it on her Twitter account.

“It’s good to be back in Kyiv. Where the values we value are defended every day. So it is such a fitting place to celebrate Europe Day. I welcome President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s decision to make May 9 Europe Day here in Ukraine as well,” von der Leyen wrote.

The President of the European Commission also welcomed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s decision to “celebrate Europe Day on May 9 here in Ukraine as well.”

On May 3, the European Commission adopted an Act to support the production and urgent delivery of ammunition and missiles to Ukraine and to help member states replenish their stockpiles.
