Massive attack in Ukraine: details

On the night of Friday, April 28, a massive attack on Ukraine by a terrorist country took place again. At about 03:00 am, an air raid alarm sounded. Later, it became known about explosions in Mykolaiv, Uman, Dnipro, and Kyiv.

Massive attack on April 28: Ukrainian military destroyed 21 of 23 rockets launched at night:

“Units of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force of Ukraine in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces destroyed 21 out of 23 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles, as well as two operational and tactical UAVs,” Zaluzhnyi said. 

Over Kyiv, 11 missiles and 2 UAVs were destroyed:

“Last night, the terrorist country attacked the whole of Ukraine. The pause lasted 51 days. The last shelling of the capital was on March 9, 2023. The attack was carried out by strategic aviation aircraft using X-101 and X-555 missiles. According to the head of the KMVA, Serhiy Popko, 11 missiles and 2 UAVs were destroyed in Kyiv’s airspace . The fall of debris in the Obolon district disrupted a local power line and damaged the road surface. No civilian casualties or injuries were reported,” said Mykhailo Shamanov, spokesman for the Kyiv City Military Administration.

There were some losses. Rocket fragments damage a high-rise building in Uman, Cherkasy region, killing 6 people and injuring 9. 3 people were wounded in Ukrainka, Kyiv region. 2 people were killed and 3 wounded when a rocket hit a private house in Dnipro. A child of two years old died.
