Biden officially announces his participation in the 2024 elections

US President Joe Biden has announced that he is running for a second term in the 2024 presidential election. 

Biden’s campaign started with a three-minute video that begins with the word “Freedom.”

“Every generation has moments when they have to defend democracy. To defend their basic freedoms. I believe this is ours. That is why I am running for re-election as President of the United States. Please join us. Let’s finish the job,” he said in a statement.

In the video, US President Biden also said:

“The question we face is whether we will have more freedom in the coming years or less. More or less rights. I know what I want the answer to be, and I think you do too. Now is not the time to be complacent.”

The main struggle in the next US presidential election, as in 2020, may be between Joe Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, who announced his candidacy in November 2022.

Every generation has a moment where they have to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours.
