Actor Dmytro Arkhipov on the year that changed him

Dima ArkhipovOn April 8, military actor Dmytro Arkhipov, who starred in the TV series Moloda, will celebrate his birthday. He does not have time to plan a holiday and analyze the past year, because he is defending the country in the ranks of the Armed Forces. On his last birthday, Arkhipov went to the military enlistment office. The actor frankly admits to the New Channel that he has changed because of the war and no longer makes far-reaching plans.

“My family doesn’t say they notice any changes in me. But I know for myself: I’ve become rougher. The army and war change people. But, I hope, not forever. “So much has happened in these 12 months that it feels like a year has passed,” says the Moloda actor. “I don’t really like my birthday and have hardly celebrated it for several years now. Last year, on April 8, I went to the military registration and enlistment office. And my friends gave me a package of mivina carbonara because I liked it (laughs). Now I have no time to think about my birthday. In the army, everything can change very quickly, so I don’t know if I will be able to come home.”

Despite his diligent and continuous service, the actor was lucky enough to escape to the premiere of Moloda and watch the first two episodes of the sitcom in the company of colleagues and friends.

“It was one of the warmest evenings of the year. In general, I don’t really like to watch my work, because I am my own harshest critic. But Moloda is a project that I want to watch because we put a lot of effort into it,” says Dmitry Arkhipov. “My family and friends are watching it too. My mom’s friends write her reviews (smiles). Even from abroad, many people say they find ways to watch it. And, of course, strangers write and comment on social media. It’s unusual, but nice. And at work, they praise me, ask about the filming of the series, want spoilers. It was also funny: some of my colleagues watch Moloda with their wives and tell them: “I serve with this guy!”. But they don’t believe it (laughs).”

Watch the series “Moloda” from Monday to Thursday at 19:00 on New Channel! And if you missed the episodes, you can watch the sitcom on Novy’s website and YouTube channel.
