Jason Momoa to star in Minecraft movie
Jason Momoa, best known for the movie Aquaman, is playing the lead role in the film adaptation of the video game Minecraft, the Daily Mail reports.
The adaptation will be directed by Jared Hess, best known for the comedy Napoleon Dynamite. Mary Parent and Roy Lee (“Dune”) will produce.
According to journalists, Minecraft is going to be turned into a full-fledged movie franchise. Production of a Minecraft movie or series should start by January 2023.
The screening is scheduled for April 4, 2025. Among the actors is the main character Jason Momoa from Aquaman, and the director is Jared Hess.
