Easter basket: price record for 2023

This year’s Easter basket will cost much more than in 2022. Prices rose significantly in 2023. Starting even with the main decoration of the basket. This was reported by Glavkom.

Buying Easter cake in a store is more expensive than making it yourself. Prices vary, from 400 UAH per kg to 600 UAH per 550 g, depending on the decor and flavor additions (raisins, dried apricots, candied fruit). 

The price of eggs doubled in 2023 – while in 2022 you could pay 36 UAH for a dozen, now they cost more than 71 UAH on average. As for pork for the Easter basket, instead of UAH 168 (for 0.5 kg), it will cost at least UAH 223. And the price of hard cheese will become 212 UAH per half kilogram instead of 150 UAH.

Those who always add additional products to their Easter basket, such as bacon, cottage cheese, or fruit, should prepare for even higher costs. Other traditional elements, such as salt and horseradish, have also risen in price, but not as significantly.
