“Unbreakable”: new single by Sergey Babkin
Sergei Babkin’s new single “Impenetrable”. This is the first song from the upcoming album, inspired by the singer’s travels in Ukraine during the war and concerts for Ukrainian soldiers. The song is dedicated to the defenders of Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people, who proved to the world that the desire to be free and the will to win cannot be broken.
Despite the daily tragedies, the song has a life-affirming mood to keep the morale and spirit of the nation up. “Impenetrable” was recorded and produced in Kyiv during the harshest winter in the history of Ukraine in 2022-2023.
Sergey Babkin:
“In moments when I am overcome with rage, anger and hatred for the enemy, I dream of having superpowers. Only one, but one that could bring back the lives of all those who died in this war. Thoughts about this became the impetus for writing this song.
The devastating war made us stronger. We have united, we have become united. Ukrainians are bright, kind, sincere, and outspoken people. Traveling with concerts in different cities of our country, I clearly felt that Ukraine is impenetrable. I dedicate this song to every Ukrainian and every defender who protects it from the enemy. It is full of love and hope for better days.”
In December, the classic Christmas hymn Silent Night was premiered by Serhiy Babkin and legendary guitarist and singer Jose Feliciano. The recording also features Austrian artist FaWiJo, who initiated the collaboration.
The new version of the anthem is part of the FaWiJo & United Artists for Ukraine project, which also features such world-famous artists as White Ocean, Status Quo, Gipsy Kings and others. The proceeds from the monetization of the project’s videos will also be used to help Ukraine.
In February 2023, Sergei Babkin’s charity tour of Ukrainian cities took place, during which the singer gave 12 concerts in 11 cities. Serhiy once again donated the proceeds from his performances to help the Kharkiv Regional Military Hospital.
During his speech for the military, Serhiy and his wife Snizhana were presented with badges of honor of the 127th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the third degree “for raising the morale and morale of the personnel of the brigade’s battalions.”
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Babkin has played about 70 charity concerts in Ukraine, the United States, Canada, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Switzerland, Ireland, Spain, and Cyprus, both as part of the Good Evening, We Are From Ukraine project and solo, and all the fees for his performances have been donated to volunteer organizations that care for the residents of Kharkiv region and the 127th Separate Brigade of the Ukrainian Army’s Special Forces.
