Singer Jamala showed photos from her Crimean childhood

JamalaUkrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin Jamala posted a photo from her archive on her social media, showing her Crimean childhood.

In the photo, a very young Jamala is sitting in the kitchen, most likely with her parents, singing. My mother does something with her hands, and my father plays the accordion.

Ramazan ayı mubarek olsun!
Allah yardım etsin!

The holy month of Ramadan has begun for Muslims.
When I was fasting at school in Crimea, everyone knew that I could not be offered buns at lunch. In the evening, I would hurry home, where my father and sister and I would open the evening iftar. Even the water tasted delicious back then. All tastes seemed to be renewed! I know that there are a lot of Muslims in the ranks of the Armed Forces now. I wish them patience and faith.
I believe that I will meet the next Ramadan with my people in Crimea. I pray that it will be so.
Happy Eid to all Muslims!

*The photo shows the moment when we all cook together,” the singer wrote in her post.
