Andre Tan as Santa Claus: British and Vinnytsia philanthropists will give Christmas to children

Woman Magazine

Designer Andre Tan supported the international initiative “Give Christmas to the Children of Ukraine” by philanthropist Valery Ryzhuk and the Vinnytsia charity “Fund for the Support and Development of Ukraine”. Philanthropists decided to prove that even a full-scale war cannot take away the holiday spirit and New Year’s gifts from our children.

The world together with Ukraine

World support for Ukraine does not abate for a moment. Not only international organizations and governments of other countries are helping – ordinary people who admire the bravery and resilience of Ukrainians and want to express their solidarity are also getting involved. Another confirmation of this was found in an English town Ipswich , near which Claydon Normal High School is located. There, at the end of November, they came up with a kind of “marathon”: to collect and pack as many gifts as possible from residents of Great Britain to the children of Ukraine. 25,000 gifts were collected in record time by 180 volunteers.

The idea was supported by the British branch of the humanitarian organization Rotary Club, which took over the logistics and transportation of gifts to Slovakia — and was looking for local partners. The initiative was taken up by the charity fund “Fund for Support and Development of Ukraine”, located in Vinnytsia. Hundreds of volunteers take part in the further process delivery of gifts from Slovakia to Vinnytsia, sorting and organization of a number of festive Christmas events.

The initiative was supported by Andre Tan and partners

Ukrainian designer Andre Tan, who has been closely cooperating with the “Support and Development Fund of Ukraine” for 12 years, provided his support, resource and media opportunities for the implementation of the initiative. In addition to Andre Tan, the foundation was assisted by Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Luhansk Regional Military Administration, representatives of Kherson Region and Kyiv — permanent partners who take care of temporarily displaced persons, among whom there are many children who were forced to leave their homes.

On December 23, the campaign “Give Christmas to the children of Ukraine!” started in Kyiv.

“Christmas holidays have always been associated with light, kindness, and children’s joy. It will be the same today: no one and nothing, no enemy will take this away from our children. If you remember, St. Nicholas was the patron saint not only of children, he also protected travelers on the road, that is, he was a real hero. Today’s heroes are the military and doctors who risk their lives every day to make our journey to a peaceful life safer and faster. The heroes of the next day are our children, who own the future of the country. For this future and for the children, in fact, there is a daily struggle. So, thanks to our advocates for the fact that our children can get their gift under the pillow today. I urge you to take care of children more than ever: now they especially need your attention. Create festive magic for them, give them positive emotions, and we will help!”, – says Andre Tan.
