In the 13th season of the “Voice of Poland” vocal project, Ukrainian Yevhen Peltek came to light. He chose the team of the singer Lanberry, but at the “Battles” stage, the performer was intercepted by Tomasz and Baron from the Afromental band. Then Yevhen successfully passed the Knockouts with Ozzy Osbourne’s lyrical ballad “Dreamer” and continued to make his dreams come true on live broadcasts. The man brought the coaches to tears.

For the first live broadcast, Yevhen chose Okean Elzy‘s legendary hit “Hugs”, performing it in Ukrainian and partially in Polish.

“I felt a huge responsibility – Yevhen Peltek shared. – When I decided on this composition, I had no idea how difficult it would be to perform it. Emotions overflowed. The song brought me back to the terrible realities in our country. It is actually very difficult to sing when you have a lump in your throat. I am glad to have the opportunity to perform the chorus in Polish and thus convey the meaning of the rock ballad to our brothers from Poland.”

The trainers of the project did not remain indifferent. Justyna Stechkovska did not hide her tears, and the touched rocker Marek Pekarchyk publicly thanked Yevhen for his insightful performance.

“When you sang, I thought that in this terrible time for your country and for you, you can only sing about love. This is the only thought that can save. Thank you for this song.”

During the first live broadcast, Yevgeny was supported by members of the Ukrainian band “Antitila”, who became invited guests of the vocal TV show. Peltek made it to the quarter-finals of “Voice of Poland” based on the results of audience SMS voting.
