“Way of peace”: Liev Schreiber visited the foundation’s charity evening
Mykola Tyshchenko’s “Way of peace” International Foundation held the fourth “CHARITY DINNERS” charity dinner in New York, where it raised more than 4,000,000 hryvnias to help Ukraine. This summer, during events in Prague, Paris and Nice, more than 15,000,000 hryvnias were collected. These funds were used to purchase cars that were sent to the epicenters of hostilities.
The “CHARITY DINNERS” project was created by influencers Alla Baranovskaya and Alisa Homer with the support of the “Way of peace” foundation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The goal of the initiative is to remind the world about the importance of financial and informational support for Ukraine and its defenders. Charity dinners also perform an important diplomatic mission — introduce diplomats, ambassadors, ministers, patrons and other guests to Ukrainian culture, national cuisine and music.
Funds collected from auction and sale of dinner tickets, the fund will donate cars for the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to transport wounded soldiers from the front line to the hospital. Also, part of the funds will be transferred to the United24 platform, founded by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

The host of the charity event was Timur Miroshnychenko, and the headliner was Tina Karol. The guests were treated to the constant chefs and judges of “MasterChef” Olga Martynovska and Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi. The menu consisted of both traditional and modern dishes of Ukrainian cuisine – palyanitsa with homemade oil, fried donuts with pike roe and sour cream according to the ancient technology, borscht, cabbage rolls, Kiev-style cutlet and honey cake with buckwheat popcorn and salted caramel.
An important part of the dinner was the auction, where iconic lots were raffled off. Among them is the flag of Ukraine from the de-occupied Hoptivka, Kharkiv region, which was donated by the Children of War Victims Foundation and a bracelet made from the last pre-war batch of Azovstal. The lots were sold for UAH 120,000 and UAH 160,000.
Hollywood actor Liev Schreiber bought an embroidered shirt created in the 1920s, a painting by the artist Ol’svol’d, Colorfulness, and a rooster statuette from a resident of Severodonetsk, who survived the attacks on Borodyanka.
The painting “Seraphim” by the Ukrainian artist Olga Shtein was sold for UAH 340,000. Vitaly Kim handed over a painting from the partially destroyed building of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, the sale of which raised more than UAH 800,000, and the National Football Team of Ukraine handed over a T-shirt with players’ signatures.
The location of the dinner deserves special attention – the modern LAVAN541 space in Manhattan. Thanks to technological equipment and projections, guests were able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Ukraine.
The aesthetics of each charity dinner introduces the symbols of Ukraine and carries deep meanings. The symbol of dinner in New York has become viburnum, the fruits of which have long been associated with the power of family, blood and the close connection of generations. Selena Rai and the Bloomenty platform prepared a large-scale viburnum embroidery and traditional handmade ornaments that decorated the premises. The WORLD SPA health oasis with traditional and cultural experiences from all over the world helped prepare the dinner.
