The 67th Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 will be held in Glasgow or Liverpool. These two cities continue to fight for the right to host the competition, the BBC reports.

We will remind, in August it was announced that 7 cities entered  to the short list of candidates for the Eurovision Song Contest. After a detailed assessment of compliance with the requirements of the competition, the list of seven cities was reduced to two. Further discussions will now take place with representatives from Glasgow and Liverpool. A final decision will be made within a few weeks.

Martin Osterdahl , executive director of the Eurovision Song Contest, thanked the competing cities:

“The Eurovision Song Contest is the most complex television production in the world, with very specific logistical requirements for accommodating about 40 delegations and thousands of film crews, volunteers, press and fans. We are confident that our final two cities are best placed to meet this challenge and look forward to continuing our discussions to select the city to host the world’s biggest music event next May.”.
